Home and School

The St.Cecilia Home and School Association is under the leadership of a board that consists of a small group of parent volunteers. In conjunction with volunteer committee chairs, the Association strives to improve upon and support St. Cecilia Grade School through communication, fundraising, and community service, as well as establishing a constructive partnership with the teachers and staff. We are committed to promoting school spirit and enthusiasm through parental involvement in various school and social activities.

Some of our programs include:

St. Cecilia Apparel and other items – Items available for purchase include t-shirts, sweatshirts, folders, pens, and pencils bearing the St. Cecilia name and logo. Show your school spirit!

Back to School Picnic – Families are invited to share a picnic dinner on the grounds of the Cathedral. This is held usually during the first week of school.

Dine Out Nights - The St. Cecilia Home & School Association does many things to foster a partnership with the faculty and staff.  Their on-going means of raising money is sponsoring dine-outs at neighborhood restaurants who donate a percentage of the money collected on that night to the school.  Please mark your calendars and then tell the restaurant you are with the St. Cecilia Dine-Out program.  The Dine-Out nights are at the following restaurants:  Radial Cafe - every Friday, Mama's Pizza - third Tuesday of every month and Don & Millies - fourth Tuesday of every month.

Coordination of volunteers, including:

Room Parents –  Parents can volunteer to assist teachers with holiday parties and other events as determined by teachers.

Mending Moms – Talented moms volunteer to mend uniforms once a month . Bring your uniform items in need of a little TLC!

Computer Helpers – We need parents to help in computer classes.

Grandparent's Day – Students can invite their grandparents to join the school on March 11th for a Mass, breakfast, and special performance of the school Operetta.

Garage Sale – Support your school by donating your unwanted household items and clothing, or shop for treasures! Used school uniforms are also available. This year’s garage sale will be April 24th & 25th in the gym.

Health Screenings, Christmas fund drive and First Friday treats for the teachers.

**Parents are encouraged to get involved by volunteering to help with an event or join a committee. Contact an officer for more information!
