Chess Club

Chess Club meets every Friday after school until 4:00.  Students learn the rules of chess and play each other in mock tournament play.  Tournaments are held periodically with other groups.

Math Maniacs

Math Maniacs is a math club for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 that meets after school twice a month.  Students engage in an array of math enrichment activities.  Math Maniacs is open to students who excel in mathematics.

Speech Club

Speech Club meets with advisor Mrs. Garcia.  The students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades prepare selections and have the opportunity to participate in speech tournaments (usually offered by Mercy High School, Marian High School, and Millard North High School).  Tournaments usually take place in April and early May.  Contact Mrs. Garcia at 556-6655 for more information.

Robotics Club

Robotics is a year long club for students in 7th and 8th grade.  The club meets on Saturday afternoons.  There are several tournaments for the students to attend on various weekends from November through April.  The club is designed to give students a hands-on experience in building and programming a robot.  Students gain a wealth of skills useful in future jobs such as working in a group, acting professionally, writing records and presenting their ideas.
